a witness to adultery

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ,

My name is Ian, a Christian who lost track in the past and is now determined to be an ambassador of Christ. I'm in the learning stage at the moment and I'm keeping myself surrounded with people who draws me closer to God.

I had a challenge today and I can't make a strong stand. I have a little knowledge of the Bible yet and I cannot use it to support my thoughts. A friend of mine, who is a Non-Christian, asked me about my view regarding adultery.

AXE IS LAID UNTO THE ROOT OF THE TREE.

Hearing a lot of sermons, I may think they were great but in such a short time I forget what it was about. On rare occasions I hear one that really impresses me and I don’t forget it. Today I heard such a one. It planted a small seed in my mind which led to this article I am writing. One idea led to another until the Holy Spirit led me to this topic.

Bread Alone

I was thinking about this the other day, and I realized that not only was this verse very true, but there was more to it than talking about simple nourishment. Bread nourishes our body, which helps us live, but the Word of God nourishes our spirit, with enables us to live eternally (Deut. 8:3 - ...man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD).

We live by His Holiness, not by our strength

Water in the Basket: A Hillbilly Tale

Grandson's reading his bible, brows all scrunched up and looking hard at it. Grandad's whittlin' away a stick, passing time in peacefulness. Grandson seems to get frustrated, and bursts out, "I can't do this!" Grandad asks him, "what's the matter, boy?" Grandson says, "I'm tryin' and tryin' to learn these here verses in the bible, but they just won't stick. I can't learn 'em!" Grandad sits back a spell, and scratches his chin, looking thoughtful.

Talking about mind control, what single thing can control us more than a computer?

GOD'S LOVE PEEKS THROUGH THE DARKEST NIGHTS

________________________________________
When my husband informed me to go to the court house to sign divorce papers he applied for, I was devastated. He did it this way so our six lovely children would not have to see a policeman come to the door to hand them to me. Our marriage was not built on love or trust. We didn’t even like each other. We both married on the rebound. I added “to get away from home” as another reason for the marriage. God was not in it at all.

GOD IS AMAZING

Last night I was having a real pity party. I felt so lonely. I even felt God abandoned me. I always have that fear that if I get too close to Him, he would leave me when He got tired of me like others (mere humans) have done.

This morning my daughter asked me some questions about where heaven and earth would be when Jesus sets up His Kingdom for eternity. I looked up all the scriptures about heaven so I was sure to give her the right answers. She needed that to talk to a Jehovah Witness about it.
