Reflections

Being a new Christian is something all brand new. Its like riding a bike after not doing so for a long time. So when it comes to love, we all know that HIS love is amazing but what about the "earthly love"? When we get attention from the opposite sex,(especially the ones who aren't Christians like us) what do we do about it? Some of us try to bring them close to Christ, while others don't for the fear of rejection. So we turn a blind eye and have fun, but what do you do when the issue of sex come up?

I finished watching the movie "300". The movie is about the stand of King Leonidas and his army of only 300 Spartans against the crushing might of the Persian army at the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in Greece. King Xerxes, who thought himself a god, led the Persians. His whole army consisted of slaves, and everyday workers like you and I, numbering anywhere from 100,000, to 1,000,000. There were 300 Spartans, along with about 700 other men and slaves of various Hellenic nations inhabiting Greece.

He Bought ME

Through tear filled eyes I saw HIM standing over there with nail scarred hands and whip marks on a body that was fair.
He listened as I complained about a world so harsh and cold and like so many times before HE knew my story was old.
Love filled HIS eyes as HE listened patiently and then HE said my child you have already been set free,
I looked at HIM with a questioning that burned in my eyes and then I said Lord it's hard to believe for satan tells me lies.

Sculpted Glass

We, being formed from sand, are like glass.
In the fire, with Christ’s help, impurities come out in abundant mass.
Like a master glass blower,
Christ puts out His Sheppard’s staff into the fire.
We then have a choice,
To adhere to his staff or not, to adhere is my desire.
Once we adhere to Christ’s will for our lives,
He breathes His breath of life into us.

Christ then proceeds to form us
Into the masterful work of His will.
We then, filled with living water,
On others we will spill.
Though like glass we can break,

This story happened on the evening my son-in-law , Ron got baptized in the river near my home. One more exciting incident to add to my glorious memories.

I was talking on the phone to my daughter . She mentioned that Ron was getting baptized in the river at 6 P.M.. It was already 5:30.. I didn't have far to go and I went just like I was. A group sang several anointed worship songs.

I found a seat out of the hot sun. I didn't seem to know any body. Then I spotted my son-in-law's mother. Talked to her for a little while and we walked over to

Objective

1) To show that there is but one God
2) That there are distinctions within the unity of the Godhead

Jesus said, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and cast into the sea' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." (Mark 11:23). It is amazing to have the power to have "what you say" and this power is available to "whoever believes".

I wasn't sure where to put this so I believe it is encouraging to some who are going through bad times. It proves God is with us even in those bad times and can use our experiences to show that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. He also shows us that what seems kind of dumb is something that can make us happy in His time. God can use anything to teach us something and give us relief.

Who would ever think, going over old tax receipts about 30 years back, could be a source of joy and accomplishment? It was just that to me.
