I think from a Christian standpoint, a chat-room defeats the goal.For a long time now, the church has been slowly seperating itself from the community with things like chat-rooms, church outings, and community centers(ever think about going out in the community?). A church should work for the community, not spend "god's money" on building crazy elaborate place's of fellowship. There are people that don't even have clean water to drink! Congrats, now Christianity is a fashion statement.

Building elaborate place's of fellowship depends on those who build it, how much David and Salomon and the people in Israel spend to build the temple?
