Ramadan - Muslim Holy Month(Starts Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 for 28 days)

Hey folks!

I wanted to let you all know that Ramadan, the Muslim holy month, started this Saturday last(Aug. 22), and I feel God calling us to reach out to the Muslim community. During this month, many of them will be abstaining from the flesh by not eating, sleeping, or having intercourse from dawn till dusk, and focusing on time in prayer and fasting, seeking God. He will show Himself to them, and He will show His Son Jesus to them. They will come to us, seeking the Saviour that we worship because of this. I will be prepared for them by creating a welcome environment of prayer and teaching in my room, #The_Mercy_Seat. I will also be reaching out locally during this time to Muslims in my community, and would like to encourage you to do likewise in yours. I will try to have some teaching, story, or prayer-time every second night in my room this month, and encourage you all to come. I will post this on the forum, too, so that people coming across the site can come in. What an awesome time for renewal and outreach! I pray that God will bless and use our network as we reach out in love to our Muslim friends. May the name of Jesus be glorified!
