The moss rose is a tough little plant. It does not grow tall, but spreads out and covers the ground. It has pretty little flowers and blooms profusely. There is not much you can do that will kill this hardy little plant. It survives trampling and cutting and springs back. The same bud will bloom over and over if the old bloom is picked off. This little plant thrives in the sunlight and can live without much water because they are a plant originally from the desert. It survives because it digs its roots in deep and strong.
These plants can give a good example to us as christians. For we have our deserts and low times. If we dig in and soak up the Sonshine we will become strong and hardy. We can be beaten down, but will spring up again. We can be plucked, but bloom again. The bad fruit will be removed and replaced with good fruit. We will become strong and vibrant and able to withstand the storms in life. And as we grow and flourish in His strength we will present a flower lovely to behold. And as the moss rose reseeds itself readily, we will reseed and refresh ourselves as we read His Word and spend time in His presence. Let us grow as the moss rose and spread the seed of the Word out to others. As the moss rose covers the ground we can cover the world around us and thru internet out into the world.
