I can only imagine the love that Jesus has
What he went through makes me so sad
Lying there on his cross the way that he did
Just because he loves us his life here came to an end

The pain he went through when his hands were nailed
And despite all his pain his faith did not fail
They beat him with whips, the crown scared his head
All this he allowed so that we could all live

I can only imagine what that love must be like
To give it all up so we can have life
Even the ones who caused him his pain
He loved like his children oh I praise his name

Now that He is gone from this place that we live
His Holy Spirit lives on its power within
The power to love the power to forgive
As Jesus did us on that cross way back then

I can only imagine what the day will be like
When I see him in heaven as king
I know that one day I will experience that love
That he shows us now from far up above

The days grow closer these things I know true
I am ready for him he is ready for you
Are you ready? I can only imagine.
