Healing!
Its true that when we pray not all are healed, there may be various reasons for that, but if some say that its God's will that they are sick, its very hard to comprehend.
Jesus once asked “ If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?” and then said, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Is there any father among us who give sickness our children? Don't we do all we can to heal them instead? If we who are evil are like that, how much more our Heavenly Father care for his children? How can we expect God to do something even we don't do?
God came down to this earth and suffered for us, he took our sins and died so that we may live, he took our sickness on his body so that by his stripes we are healed, he took our curses and hung on a tree so that we are redeemed. How can He who did all this, make us sick?
Its not God who brings in sickness, Jesus came to give us life, its the thief who steal, kill and destroy, he is the one who steal our health and destroy us. Its said that we need to submit to God and resist the devil so that he will flee, but if the devil can fool us to believe that our sickness is from God, we will stop resisting it, and he wins.
What ever God does he does for his glory, he wont get glorified if we stay sick, its when we are healed that his name gets glorified, He does guide us and at times punish us for our mistakes or misbehavior, but I don't think he put an incurable diseases on us to “teach us a lesson”, God is not a bully, God is Love.
Faith does have a role in healing, we all have faith, if not we don't come to God, but we also have doubt or unbelief, thats what mostly hinders all blessings, It acts as a negative faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. So when we pray for healing, we need to believe that we are healed, we should not go by what we feel, we should go by what we believe (the unseen). We should see ourselves healed through our inner eyes, and then it will come to pass. Remember, submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Don't let the devil fool you, when God tells us we are healed we indeed are healed!

Thanks so much for this !!!
I really appreciate articles like this. Someone is prepared to stand apart from the crowd. We don't realize that God's realm works contrary to what we have learnt to expect from our everyday life experiences. We believe first and then we receive. No one who trusts in Him is put to shame. I really think if more people would trust Him we would see more miracles and more people healed and in that I mean the people praying and not necessarily the one being prayed for. If you look at James 5 its the prayer of faith of the elders and not the sick person otherwise what if the sick person is in a coma??!?
I think part of the problem is that we make out faith to being something it isn't. Its not about being someone special, like Elijah, whom we think was special. Its just about drawing close to God in relationship. Who will find it the hardest to trust God? Is it the one who has God as a friend? or the one whom God is almost a stranger? Is it easier to trust a friend or a stranger? I honestly don't believe its about fasting for forty days in order to have faith but just to have that special relationship with our Heavenly Father and that is available to anyone who wants it.
Thanks RejiMC for this rare positive outlook on the subject of healing.
Speaking of faith, we are
Speaking of faith, we are all given THE measure of faith not A measure of faith, so we all have it the same measure of faith, but how we use it what matters. There are people that have plenty of money in banks and still live as beggers.
(Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.)
With regards to fasting it helps us to deal with our unbelief, in other words it helps our body to follow our spirit than our feeling. Its sort of a training for our body too something as a bonus while we spend time with God avoiding all worldly stuff.
