Surround Yourself With Positive People!

(My private journals from my 1st pregnancy.)

I’m so excited! I’m in my second trimester now, and I’m also feeling better. I started taking exercise classes this week; and even though I’ve taught exercise for years, it’s different being a student. I don’t have to think about which moves are coming next—I just follow along. And the instructor is great! She was very encouraging about the baby. I’m finding that it is really important to surround myself with supportive, happy, encouraging people.

Super Mom or Okay Mom??

(My private journals from my 1st pregnancy.)

It’s been a hard week. I’ve felt exhausted; and on top of that, Micah has been a handful. I wish I could play with him like I used to, but I just don’t have the energy. I want to be Super-Mom; but right now, I’ll settle for Okay-Mom.

Yesterday, Micah and I were going to the store when a driver cut us off in traffic, nearly colliding with us. It was scary, because I’ve got my son and my unborn baby to protect, as well as myself. That incident really tried my patience!

Feeling Queasy, Not Fun!

(My private journals from my 1st pregnancy.)

Well, I’ve gained a couple more pounds, but I’m not “showing” yet. And I started feeling a little queasy this week, and I can’t have that. I still am working full time and I have a very busy schedule this month. I did figure out that if I eat my spelt crackers before I get out of bed that they seem to help calm my tummy. The worst thing I can do is not have any food in my stomach.

I’ve been walking a lot more and still trying to eat healthy, but I’m defiantly eating more carbohydrates. Lots of bread and crackers.

What makes God who He is?

Those who believe the Bible to be true believe that the God of the Bible is true as well but what makes God who He is?

1. God is Holy

2 Samuel 2:
2"(A)There is no one holy like the LORD,
Indeed, (B)there is no one besides You,
(C)Nor is there any rock like our God.

Exodus 15:
11"(A)Who is like You among the gods, O LORD?
Who is like You, (B)majestic in holiness,
(C)Awesome in praises, (D)working wonders?

Psalms 22:
3Yet (A)You are holy,
O You who are enthroned upon (B)the praises of Israel.

2. God is love

1 John 4:

Jews do not believe in Jesus Christ is God but does the Tanakh say Jesus Christ is God?

1. Objection: Where in scripture does it show the Redeemer/Messiah, needs to be God?

Answer: Throughout scripture, the Lord is called Redeemer[2] (lag Ga'al), meaning kinsman-redeemer. In order to be our kinsman, God must also be “Son of Man”, hence the need for the incarnation as illustrated in scripture. Being “Son of God” (Psalm 2:2,7,12) and “Son of Man” (Daniel 7:13) allows Messiah to redeem humanity from their bankrupt state.

Psalm 2
The Reign of the LORD'S Anointed.

What is the Lordship of Christ ?

We hear people saying Jesus Christ is Lord in the Christian circle, which is so true but what does it mean?

The Greek Word Kurios or Kyrios is the word we use for Lord and means:

he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord

1. the possessor and disposer of a thing
1. the owner; one who has control of the person, the master
2. in the state: the sovereign, prince, chief, the Roman emperor
2. is a title of honour expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master
3. this title is given to: God, the Messiah

RULES OF THE GAME Mini-Sermon # 3 Series 1

This sermon will let you know just what is involved. You will be better qualified to make your decision. Sooner or later you will have to take a stand.

Jesus is looking for quality players while Satan will use anyone. With him, only quality counts. It is easy to get on his team. Actually, you are already on his team until you choose Jesus. I didn’t say it; the Bible does.

MINI-SERMON #2 Series # 1 MEET YOUR TEAM LEADERS

Before you decide which team you want to be on, you should know a little about the captains you have to choose between. We will start with Jesus in front of the good team. Isaiah 53:21: “He has no form or beauty that we should desire him.”
When humans picture Jesus, we make him look like our idea of a super he-man and good looking but that is not how the Bible describes him. Isaiah 53:21: “He has no form or beauty that we should desire him.”
